The future of advice is hyper-personal

"As a businessman, there's a fantastic opportunity to find those 1.8mn clients who are going to be disenfranchised over the next five years. It'll be a real privilege to look after them," he says.

"Of course we'll make money from it because we run a private business. I want to make money but I want to make money by helping clients make money."

He adds: "One thing financial advisers have always done really well historically, is to be that kind of force for good and reassurance in both good times and bad times for the clients."

"But as those advisers retire, there need to be alternatives, and there need to be alternatives like True Potential who can look after (hopefully) millions of clients, and help them get the happy retirement which they deserve.

"And if it's not us, who's going to do that?"
